UPDATE (weekly analysis):
Latest data for
G3 economies to late-April show weekly Global Liquidity growth edging higher on a 3-month
annualized basis. This is largely due to the Fed.
MAIN TRENDS (monthly analysis):
- Global Liquidity expanded further in March (80.8%), according to our monthly indices.
- The jump in US Fed liquidity bolstered the liquidity expansion (61.5% vs. 41.8%
Dec 2007).
- Other major Central Banks, notably the European Central Bank (92.8%), the People’s
Bank of China (81.4%) and the Bank of England (82.5%) continued to pump in funds.
