A legacy of digital transformation
Rakefet currently serves as a Managing Partner at Team8, a global venture group focused on building and scaling the next generation of technological innovators.
Prior to this, she was the President and CEO of Bank Leumi from 2012 to 2019. During her tenure, she fundamentally transformed Leumi, guiding it to become Israel’s most profitable and technologically advanced bank. She spearheaded the launch of Pepper, Israel’s first mobile-only bank, and established LeumiTech, a dedicated banking platform tailored to the high-tech sector.
Her phenomenal success at Bank Leumi even became the subject of a Harvard Business School case study in 2019, aptly titled: ‘Leading Bank Leumi into the Future’.
Championing inclusivity and mentorship
Beyond her impressive corporate achievements, Rakefet is a deeply passionate advocate for women in leadership. She actively mentors emerging female leaders through Meta’s SHESHE Women’s Mentorship Program.
